How to guide has some basic navigation tips for getting around in QCANESelectTM
The QCANESelectTM home page allows for easy navigation, just point and click. From this home page users are able to access the four main areas of QCANESelectTM:
• Variety information contains variety guides and variety information sheets, and also variety information on diseases, management issues and seasonal sugar, soil recommendations and suggested harvest periods. It also allows for comparisons between different varieites.
• Block recommendations allow for variety selection based on some simple characteristics such as region, Soil Class, Disease of Concern, Seasonal Sugar and Management Issues. Recommendations are given; ranking varieties in order of performance over a normal crop cycle, while considering user defined parameters.
• Regional reporting contains features which allow users to compare varieties within a region relating to Area Tonnes of sugar per hectare, Tonnes of cane per hectare, CCS and diseases. Users can investigate the performance of varieties across different growing regions.
• Whole Farm Planning, Productivity and Risk Management has been developed to improve productivity and sustainability while reducing risks. Growers are able to replace susceptible varieties with disease resistant ones, and develop a more desireable variety mix in relation to management issues and seasonal sugar.
